The Company is located in Lawrence , Kansas . Its integrated facility incorporates call center, closed-door pharmacy, warehouse and shipping operations. This new central facility ships diabetes products directly to the patients within the continental United States in two to three days.

Customer Service

Superior customer service is a hall mark of Kindred Care. Kindred Care believes that patients who call need to be talking with knowledgeable, experience people in the field of diabetes. All personnel are professionally trained by Certified Diabetes Nurse Educators on diabetes and must pass a written and oral exam before they are qualified to talk with patients. We call our customer service personnel Care Coordinators, because of their extensive knowledge in the area of diabetes and the valuable support they provide patients. Our Care Coordinators are not order takers for supplies and medications. They help facilitate the continuum of care between the physician and patient to ensure the patient receives the highest quality of care. Kindred Care has partnered with all blood glucose meter companies to perform ongoing training on meters and medications for its personnel, ensuring that personnel are always up to date on the latest technologies and advances in medicine.

Quality Assurance/Compliance:

Kindred Care is a Medicare and Medicaid provider and adheres to the standards and requirements established by CMS. Kindred Care is also regulated and complies with all state and federal pharmacy regulations. Our compliance department routinely performs random quality control checks assuring that all appropriate and authorized documentation has been received for each patient order. These compliance checks are performed by a team not associated with production. The reports from internal audits are reviewed with top management quarterly or when deficiencies are noted. Appropriate corrective actions are implemented and audits are performed to assure management that all personnel have been adequately trained and the corrected process is in routine production.
